Mouth of Krishna #789, Japan 2019; Pigments on Japanese Gampi paper over gold leaf
"This image was taken last Spring in Japan. Spring is here again but we are now in the middle of a storm.
Paraphrasing Haruki Murakami, this storm isn’t something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with us. This storm was created by us. All we can do is walk through it, step by step. Be optimistic, remain curious, and stay at home.
Quoting Murakami: When you come out of the storm you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about. More springs will come, and we’ll be there."
