The Mirage series combines the artisanal knowledge of glass with the observation of flowers that Kwaaitaal has developed over many years. Perspective is central to the work. A graphic, straight line marks the waterline, while its mirrored reflection on the surface creates a double inversion – not only of light and dark, but also of the composition. The resulting images hover between surface and depth, generating a subtle dialogue between reality and perception.
