VERNISSAGE: RENÉ GROEBLI – MOVEMENT: BILDHALLE ZURICH
THE ARTIST WILL BE PRESENT
Bildhalle is dedicating a solo exhibition on the theme of movement to Swiss photographer René Groebli. Groebli has always been an artist in motion, fascinated by speed and dynamism, constantly searching for ways to capture these in his photographs: blurred and considered unaesthetic according to the rules of the prevailing dogma at the time. But Groebli feels and works lyrically. He thinks of the medium of photography centrifugally, from the centre outwards. It is an urge for dynamism, which means modernity: Groebli wants to understand the essence of movement in the sense of a cineaste and grasp the energy that lies in the new.
