The book OVER was published in the autumn of 2017. The pre-premiere of the book took place during International Festival of Photography in Landskrona, Sweden in September 2017 in connection to the first solo exhibition of the project “Over”. The premiere of the book took place during Polycopies 2017, along with the presentation of the best photobooks published in Poland in 2016 and 2017 (Photobooks From Poland) on the side of the Paris Photo Fair. The project has already received international recognition and interest with individual exhibitions in Paris, Vienna, and Landskrona.
"It may have all begun when I was nine, and my younger brother Hubert and I managed to lasso a bird. Or maybe it’s just a hereditary disorder.
An eternal quest for a world that would belong to nobody but me. Searching for a form which only imply the content. Which guides without defining. It doesn’t matter what I see when looking but what I feel.
First things first: why do I call OVER a photo book, and not an album? An album is a form of presenting photos, while a photo book means story telling by means of the photos. OVER tells a story about a world that exists only for a very short time and is so inaccessible that it is hard to believe it really exists.
The book was designed by Ania Nałęcka – Milach. Her projects have received all the most important awards in the world, including POYi, the Best Photography Book Award, the Paris Photo/Aperture Foundation Photobook Award, or The New York Photofestival."
