Limited edition of 12 with 12 platinum palladium prints (43 x 32 cm).
Each portfolio contains 12 platinum palladium prints made by the artist himself with passepartouts (50 x 40 cm) in a hand-crafterd box of high quality.
The photographs were taken in and around Paris in 1949, on the occasion of a trip from Paris to Basel in the driver's cab of an express steam locomotive.
Groebli photographed with his Leica and a single lens (Elmar 50mm, 1:3.5) or with the old twin-lens Rolleiflex. For perspectives, he climbed around on the coal wagon or on the running boards, ignoring the danger.
