We are pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition I SEE YOU - 14 ARTISTS IN A DIALOGUE in collaboration with Harper's Bazaar NL. Marking the opening of the cultural season, our aim is to foster connections, initiate conversations, and strengthen the sense of community.

Finissage: Saturday, 19 October, 17h

IN THE PRESENCE OF SOME ARTISTS.

The exhibition features 7 artists represented by Bildhalle, each of whom has invited a fellow artist whose work they admire, to showcase along-side their own. The group of hosts and guests comprises 8 women and 7 men, including established and emerging talents working in painting, textiles, ceramics, and photography. The participating artists represent a wide range of styles and price points, appealing to collectors at all levels of experience. By facilitating a dialogue between artists of different generations and levels of recognition, the exhibition promotes a sense of shared community and support.

I SEE YOU is a reflection on a dialogue that references appreciation and true connection. It is a direct acknowledgment of the “other”.

On one hand, it maps the emotive and physical spatiality of the relation-ship between two artists. But the title I SEE YOU extends beyond the artistic relationship: it is a gentle nod to the strong partnership of Miluska van ’t Lam – editor-in-chief, Harper’s Bazaar – and Mirjam Cavegn – owner Bildhalle. I SEE YOU marks the beginning of a series of exhibitions, with plans to expand the exchange between the Netherlands and Switzerland following the opening of Bildhalle’s Amsterdam location in 2020. This commitment to international collaboration is reflected in the exhibition’s future journey to Zurich.

In a dialogue are:

Paul Cupido x Eloïse Labarbe-Lafon
Casper Faassen x Yael Laroes
